A QUILT LOVERS SHOPPE

I'd like to introduce you to Valerie Cook. Valerie owns A Quilt Lovers Shoppe in Janesville, Wisconsin. We first met Valerie at Quilt Market last year. She loved Toni Whitney's designs, and put in a request for Toni to do a pattern of a Golden Retriever. Well, Valerie waited a short while, and then took matters into her own hands! With inspiration from Toni and her own beloved Golden Retriever "Goldie", Valerie made her own pattern! She was pleased with the results and went on the make a quilt of her daughter's Papillon! This convention center is one of the nicest ones we've been in! And it's one of the greenest ones in the United States. There are many, many skylights.....the natural light was wonderful, and it cuts their energy use.

Earth, Wind and Fire: All Together Now

Here the version of Toni Whitney's Earth, Wind And Fire with all three horses in one quilt . Once again, the way this pattern is designed a person can make it as above or each of the horses individually.
Earth, Wind And Fire will be shipping at the beginning of next month and is available for preorders.

MOOSE QUILT IN MEMORY OF GOVERNOR RYNEARSON

This is Sharon Duffy's "Summer Serenity" which she presented to The Loyal Order of the Moose Family Center 1913 in Mauston, Wisconsin. It was made in loving memory of Governor Dale Rynearson, who passed away from cancer in February. Pictured with Sharon is the new governor, Mike Rynearson, nephew of Dale. Sharon says she is not a quilter, but has done most crafts. How brave of her to tackle this as her first quilt! Se also added paint to this quilt, another first! Because it will hang in the family center, she chose to frame the quilt for protection. Didn't she do an amazing job??

WYATT'S COWBOY QUILT

I made this quilt for my first "grand".....my nephew Jacob has a son, Wyatt. I haven't had the pleasure of meeting Wyatt yet, but I'm looking forward to it! I just have to add the binding and label and then I'll mail it off! (As soon as I write up instructions, I'll post them on the website as a free download....)

This is a raffle quilt!! The Elk City Sew Help Me Quilt Club made this beauty to raffle off during Elk City Days, early in August. As you can imagine, tickets are already selling...and the guys are loving it! We hope to hang it in our shop and sell tickets. We just have to coordinate schedules with the group. I just love seeing someone take a commercial pattern and turn it into a one-of-a-kind work of art! It is so inspiring!

SPECIAL TREASURES CREATED BY TONI WHITNEY

Thanks to Toni Whitney and OK Carol Rockwell, I had these wonderful treasures to give to my daughters when I was in Rosemont. My younger daughter, Amy, has the yellow lab, Buck, and the chihuahua, Midge. My older daughter, Katie, has the black pit mix, Buddy. They are the sweetest grandbabies! (Of course, I'm looking forward to the two-legged variety of grandchildren, but in the meantime, it's fun to spoil these!)
