Bigfork Bay Cotton Company recently licensed this adorable giraffe design from Debi Hubbs to add to her ever growing collection of art quilt patterns.

The giraffe design didn't officially have a name, so Debi and Bigfork Bay Cotton Co. thought it would be a great idea to have YOU name the pattern! Isn't that so fun?

To submit names simply email traci@bigforkbaycottonco.com.

You can enter as many names as you like. In case of duplicate names, the first name entered will be chosen. We need to name the giraffe soon! So get your names in A.S.A.P.

The contest officially closes Midnight June 5th, 2011.

And the winning name gets?

The person who selects the winning name will receive a pattern signed by Debi Hubbs and a matching fabric kit!

TWO NEW DESIGNS FROM DEBI HUBBS!!

Normally I wouldn't post our new designs for fall Quilt Market so early, but we are so excited about these new designs from Debi Hubbs! They are both near the end of the "pattern development cycle", meaning we are almost done with them! We are waiting for pattern covers to be printed and proofing the patterns. We are taking preorders now, but may not be actually shipping until next month. Patterns will cost $14, Fabric kits will cost $58. Thread kits will be available but I don't have a price on them yet.

Debi's artwork is so much fun....it always brings a smile to my face! Peruse her website at http://www.artblooms.net/ . It is so much fun! If you see a painting that you think would make a great pattern, let me know....we're always open to suggestions!

CLOSEUP OF ANNE'S CROWS

I thought you might like to see this closeup of Anne's crows.....aren't they hilarious?!

ANNE'S VERSION OF THE QUILTERS

Those who look closely will see this version of The Quilters in the slideshow on the right. I wish the picture was bigger and you could see the details that Anne added to this quilt. She made this for her sister's 70th birthday. The crows represent her, her sisters, and nieces. She uses their hats and shoes to reflect their personalities. One crow has a cowgirl hat and boots, one is wearing a tiara, one has a feather hat and bright pink Mary Jane shoes, and one has a quilt block for a hat (could that be Anne?) She even included her sister's dog, tugging on a quilt!
